According to the National Health Service of the United Kingdom, it is advisable to do brisk walking or jogging for at least 150 minutes per week. Now please note that it is way easier to run on a treadmill than to jog in open air, this is because of the fact that you do not face wind resistance on a treadmill.
In order to overcome this and make it more realistic, I would recommend you to run on an incline of at least 1 degree.
All the treadmills meant for home use are normally DC motor treadmills(main reason being that they are a bit less noisy than AC motors) check that before you buy one, Any dc motor treadmill shall be used only for 45 min continuously and then 15 min rest.

Note:- Above calculations are in watt, your treadmill will have HP(horsepower ) rating, 1 Hp=735 watt.
Do not use an extension cord with any treadmill. Heart rate sensors are provided with every treadmill your ideal heart rate will be 220 minus your age whatever is the number stay in 60-80% of that number for eg a 30 yr old’s ideal range would be 220-30=190 60% of 190=114, 80% of 190=152 so his ideal range would be 114-152.

Single lubrication corresponds to a dose of between 5 and 10 ml of silicone.
Do not over apply the silicone spray otherwise it can cause skidding.
Also do lubrication once in every 3 months, for moderate use of 30-45 min daily.

Before buying a treadmill you should consider the following factors
Cost: whether it fits your budget or not
Continuous Horsepower Rating: Look for a minimum of 1.5 HP continuous duty(different than the misleading maximum duty rating).
User weight :- If more than one family member is going to use it then you should consider the weight of the heaviest person who will be using it while selecting the model and please reduce the weight given on the machine by 20 Kg for practical purpose as impact weight on the machine while doing exercise is different than the rated max. user weight.
Warranty:- It should be for (for at least 1-3 years).
Belt size: For running, the belt should be at least 48 inches long and 16 inches wide. If you are over 6 feet tall, you would need at least a 52-inch belt for walking and a 54-inch belt for running.

Although i won’t recommend you to go with a manual treadmill unless you don’t have the budget this is one treadmill worth reviewing the criteria that sets this one apart from its competitors is that is has a decent enough running surface 52”x16” if you look at other treadmills then they have somewhere in the range of 40-43” length and 13-15” width which is simply not enough if you are going to use the treadmill for running.
It has a hefty 180 kg max user weight rating, but the major con is that there is no cushioning system so don’t go too fast on this treadmill or your knees will hurt.

In the sub 50 K segment you can safely go for Durafit Heavy Hike , it has highest user weight rating of 120 kg, good motor of 2.5 CHP, decent running area of 50”x19” and a slip proof running surface.
In the 50K-100K segment at just around 71.5K Nordictrack has to be the winner with its I-Fit live app it beats the competition ,add a 55”x 20” running deck ,150 Kg user weight capacity and an internationally renowned brand name and you have a killer deal.
In the 100K plus segment I Am a bit confused ,I would say go for Sole if you can rake up the the extra Money as it not only has bigger running dimensions but also it provides a much better cushioning system also sole is a much well known brand in fitness circles. On the other hand Powermax TDA-595 is also a very good machine and can be taken if you are ready to compromise on the cushioning system and don’t have a person having height 6’4” or above then it is perfectly fine to go for this treadmill.
